The "AB" block is the epitome of the American butcher block. Like the "AA" block, it is a piece of history and American heritage and is proudly made by John Boos & Co. in Effingham, IL, USA. It consists of a 25 cm thick hard maple face block and four solid, stylishly carved legs. Each block is made to order and carefully crafted to Boos' famous end grain design from select pieces of premium kiln-dried hard maple. Boos' end grain construction is extremely solid and robust and resistant to scratches and scuffs. It absorbs the pressure of knife blades and helps to protect them and keep them sharp for longer. The "AB" block combines the solidity of a robust classic butcher's block with elegant design. You have the option of embellishing your kitchen by choosing from a variety of natural, lacquered or stained legs. Please refer to the color options. You also have the option of fitting the block with castors so that it can be used anywhere in the kitchen where it is needed. The "AB" block is available in various sizes, ranging from 46 x 46 cm to 76 x 76 cm. Your "AB Block" will last a lifetime, if not generations, if you look after it properly.
