Since 1887, generations of professionals have used John Boos Butcher Blocks, from butcher shops and meat markets to restaurants, commercial, government and educational facilities, and even the White House. The demand for the famous Boos Butcher Block made of end grain was so great that a new collection was designed for the finest home kitchens. The Homestead Block, made from glued end grain blocks of solid American hardwood for superior strength and durability, embodies this new design with the same level of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship as the original Butcher Block. It has the mass of a fortress yet the beauty and character of a fine piece of furniture. The 91 x 61 cm large and 12.5 cm thick end panel stands on sturdy, notched maple legs and provides a first-class work surface in the kitchen. You can store dishes, pans or ingredients on the lower shelf with slatted frame. A drawer integrated into the tabletop also provides space for your favorite kitchen utensils. The table top is available in different types of wood (hard maple, black walnut and American cherry). As your block will attract a lot of attention, you should also choose a surface that matches your kitchen furnishings. The front panel, drawer and bottom shelf are supplied in the same finish. Please take a look at the color options.
